  • 1.  3.18.24 ESR SubCommittee Meeting Follow-Up

    Good Afternoon Everyone,

Following up on yesterday's ESR Committee meeting, I haven't been able to find the post on the final comments that BOMA International submitted to the White House regarding the Zero Emissions Building definition. Has anyone found them or is anyone able to share a link to their location?

In regards to the updated Cosponsor lists for the bills that we supported at the 2024 legislative fly-in, I found these links to each bill which include cosponsor lists: HR 1491 (Small Business Energy Loan Enhancement Act) Cosponsors - H.R.1491 - 118th Congress (2023-2024): Small Business Energy Loan Enhancement Act | Congress.gov | Library of Congress, HR 1477 (Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow's Workforce Act) Cosponsors - H.R.1477 - 118th Congress (2023-2024): Freedom To Invest in Tomorrow's Workforce Act | Congress.gov | Library of Congress, and HR2621 (Honoring Vocational Education Act) Cosponsors - H.R.2621 - 118th Congress (2023-2024): Honoring Vocational Education Act | Congress.gov | Library of Congress. I'm not sure how often those pages get changed, but there are cosponsors listed as recently as 3/12/24, so they seem like they may be up-to-date.

I know we discussed it briefly, but could we get more details on the BOMA Carbon Challenge data? Would it be possible to get the raw, anonymized dataset to look over?

    Thanks!

    Hi Greg,

Thank you for sharing those resources. The Zero Emissions Building definition comments are attached. The new additions to the Decarbonization Resource Center are also up and running. To access resources on strategies to reduce carbon, including IRA incentives guides, you can view the Decarbonization Resource Center (boma.org).

The application for the Yardi-BOMA Sustainability Grant we discussed during our meeting can be accessed from https://form.jotform.com/240705622776156. Please feel free to share with any emerging or veteran sustainability professionals who have not yet had the opportunity to attend the BOMA Annual Conference.

Thank you for your interest in the Carbon Reduction Challenge! In short, as the Challenge is entirely optional and intended to demonstrate the CRE industry's commitment as a whole to reducing carbon emissions, a priority is protecting participants' data privacy. As such, we're not able to share the raw data. If you would like to join the Challenge or learn more, feel free to reach out or explore the webpage: Carbon Reduction Challenge (boma.org)
